'Fit India Sunday on Cycle'

  • The 'Fit India Sunday on Cycle' event was organized on March 23, 2025, in Lucknow, where the Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, led a group of over 500 cyclists.

State Special

National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA)

  • The Delhi Assembly has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs (MoPA), Government of India, and the Delhi Government (GNCTD) to adopt the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA).
  • With this initiative, the Delhi Assembly has become the 28th legislature in the country to implement the NeVA project.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises

  • The Central Government has made significant amendments to the investment and turnover criteria for the classification of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which will come into effect from April 1.

Revised MSME classification:

Micro:

  • Investment: Up to ₹2.5 crore (earlier ₹1 crore)
  • Turnover: Up to ₹10 crore (earlier ₹5 crore)

Small:

  • Investment: Up to ₹25 crore (earlier ₹10 crore)

 

  • Turnover: Up to ₹100 crore (earlier ₹50 crore)

Medium:

  • Investment: Up to ₹125 crore (earlier ₹50 crore)
  • Turnover: Up to ₹500 crore (earlier ₹250 crore)

  • According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) data, India's GDP was approximately $2.1 trillion in 2015, and it is projected to reach $4.3 trillion by 2025.

Second Stealth Frigate 'Tavasya'

  • Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) successfully launched the second stealth frigate 'Tavasya' under Project 1135.6 on March 22, 2025.

Key Features:

 

  • Dimensions and Capacity: The warship is 124.8 metres long, 15.2 metres wide, with a draft of 4.5 metres and weighs around 3,600 tonnes. It has a maximum speed of 28 knots.
  • Weapon Systems: The 'Tavsya' is equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and systems, including the BrahMos missile system, torpedo launchers, sonar and auxiliary control systems.

Significance of Naming:

  • The name 'Tavsya' is inspired by the mace of Mahabali Bhima from Mahabharata
