WAVES Organization

  • According to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the first World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) will be held in Mumbai from May 1 to May 4, 2025.

The four key areas of the programme are:

  • AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality)

Inauguration of the International Conference-cum-Exhibition

  • Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, inaugurated 'GRIDCON 2025' – the International Conference-cum-Exhibition at the India International Convention Centre (IICC), Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi, on March 9, 2025.

48th Annual Day of NIHFW

  • Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Jagat Prakash Nadda, virtually presided over the 48th Annual Day celebrations of the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare (NIHFW).
  • During the ceremony, new facilities such as the Open Gymnasium Park, Arogya Shakti Park, and Saksham-Media Lab were inaugurated at the NIHFW campus.

E-Toycathon 2025

  • The winners of the first Electronic Toy Hackathon (E-Toycathon 2025), organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, have been announced.

First State to Present a Handwritten Budget

Inauguration of Madhav Tiger Reserve

  • Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Madhav Tiger Reserve.
  • Madhav National Park, located in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, has recently been granted the status of a tiger reserve, making it the 9th tiger reserve of the state and the 58th tiger reserve in the country.
