Foundation stone of cancer hospital in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of a cancer hospital to be built at a cost of ₹218 crore in Bageshwar Dham, located in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
  • The construction of this hospital is targeted to be completed in 36 months, which will provide cancer treatment facilities to the people of Bundelkhand region.

  • In this disease, the body's cells start growing uncontrollably and can form tumors or lumps.

Major types of cancer:

  • Carcinoma: Occurs in the skin, lungs, breasts, prostate, stomach, etc.
  • Sarcoma: Affects bones, muscles, cartilage, and blood vessels.
  • Leukemia: This is blood cancer that affects the bone marrow.
  • Lymphoma: This cancer occurs in the cells of the immune system.
  • Brain and Spinal Cord Cancer: Affects the nervous system.

Foundation stone laid for country's first bio polymer plant

  • The foundation stone of the country's first bio-polymer plant was laid by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Kumbhi, Lakhimpur Kheri.
  • This plant is being set up by Balrampur Chini Mills Limited at a cost of ₹2,850 crore.

‘Haryana Witness Protection Scheme 2025’

  • The Haryana government has launched the ‘Haryana Witness Protection Scheme 2025’ to ensure the safety of witnesses, who play a crucial role in the judicial system.
  • The primary objective of this scheme is to protect witnesses from threats, harassment, or intimidation during judicial proceedings.

Witnesses Categorized into Three Levels of Threat:

 

 

  • 'A' Category: Severe threat, where the witness or their family may face a risk to life.
  • 'B' Category: Moderate threat, where there is a potential risk to the safety, reputation, or property of the witness or their family.
