• Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated India Energy Week 2025 at Yashobhumi in Dwarka, Delhi.

IIAS-DARPG India Conference 2025

• Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pension, Dr. Jitendra Singh, has formally inaugurated the IIAS-DARPG India Conference 2025 in New Delhi and the theme of this year’s conference is the Next Generation Administrative Reforms—Reaching the Last Mile.

Net Direct Tax Collection Rises

• As per the data released by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), India’s net direct tax collection exhibited growth of 14.69 percent year on year to over 17 lakh 78 thousand crore and the gross direct tax collection increased over 19 percent in comparison to financial year 2023-24.
