International Conference on Integrative Health Solutions

  • President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the two-day International Conference on "Innovations in Unani Medicine for Integrative Health Solutions – A Way Forward" on Unani Day at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
  • This Conference was hosted by Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), a premier research council under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.

Unani medicine is an ancient Greek system of medicine based on the teachings of Hippocrates in 460 BC.

Kalagram at Mahakumbh

  • Ministry of Culture has set up a cultural village viz. Kalagram in Sector-7 of Maha Kumbh district through North Central Zone Cultural Centre (NCZCC) located at Prayagraj, an autonomous organization of the Ministry.

MoU for Job creation and expand opportunities

  • To enhance job creation and expand opportunities for young job seekers, the Ministry of Labour & Employment signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FoundIt (Formerly Monster), a leading job portal in New Delhi.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the four-day mega event India Energy Week 2025 in New Delhi.

Combating human trafficking in the digital era

  • Justice Shri V Ramasubramanian, Chairperson, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India inaugurated a day-long National Conference on ‘Combating human trafficking in the digital era’ organised by the Commission in collaboration with the Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Aircraft Objects Bill

  • Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu introduced “The Protection of Interests in Aircraft Objects Bill, 2025”, in the Rajya Sabha.
  • The bill aims to strengthen aircraft financing and leasing in the country. It aims to align India’s domestic laws with the Cape Town Convention and its Aircraft Protocol, international treaties designed to streamline the financing and leasing of aircraft and other movable equipment.

1979 Islamic Revolution anniversary

  • Iranians celebrated the anniversary of the country’s 1979 Islamic Revolution in Tehran.
  • The Iranian Revolution was a series of events from 7 January 1978 to 11 February 1979 that ultimately resulted in the overthrow of the pro-western regime of Pahlavi dynasty under Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, subsequently being replaced by an anti-Western Theocracy under Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

Market Intervention Scheme

  • Government has revised Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) guidelines under which procurement limit of crops under MIS has been increased from 20 percent to 25 percent.
  • Under this revision MIS will be a component of the integrated scheme of PM-AASHA.

PM-AASHA

  • The Government of India approved the continuation of the integrated Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay SanraksHan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) Scheme during the 15th Finance Commission Cycle up to 2025-26.
  • Government has also allowed the procurement of Tur, Urad and Masur under PSS equivalent to 100% of the production of the State for the procurement year 2024-25.

Elimination of Lymphatic Filariasis

  • Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Jagat Prakash Nadda, has launched the Annual Nationwide Mass Drug Administration (MDA) Campaign for Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) Elimination.
  • Government’s resolve is to achieve the lymphatic filariasis elimination target by 2027.
