Atomic Clock

  • A lab in Faridabad will receive the time from NavIC which will be shared through an optic fibre to four other centres - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar and Guwahati, with each having an atomic clock.

  • Chief minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Growth and Rural Enterprise Ecosystem Strengthening (UP-AGREES) project, to boost agricultural productivity, enhancing rural enterprises and empowering farmers in the state.

  • US President Donald Trump has signed his first legislation, the Laken Riley Act, mandating the pre-trial detention of illegal migrants accused of certain crimes.

National Critical Mineral Mission

  • The government has approved the National Critical Mineral Mission with an outlay of more than Rs. 34000 crore, to build a resilient value chain for critical mineral resources essential for promoting green technologies.
Lithium, Cobalt, Copper, Nickel, and Rare earth elements are known as critical minerals.

Ethanol Blended Petrol

  • The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has revised ethanol procurement price for Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) for the Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) 2024-25 starting from 1st November, 2024 to 31st October 2025 under the Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) Programme of the Government.
The cabinet approved the price of 57.97 rupees per litre for C-heavy molasses, 60.73 rupees per litre for B-heavy molasses, and 65.61 rupees per litre for sugarcane juice, sugar, and sugar syrup.

Mutual Credit Guarantee Scheme for MSMEs

  • Government of India has approved introduction of Mutual Credit Guarantee Scheme for MSMEs (MCGS- MSME) for providing 60% guarantee coverage by National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company Limited (NCGTC) to Member Lending Institutions (MLIs*) for credit facility upto Rs.100 crore sanctioned to eligible MSMEs under MCGS-MSME for purchase of equipment / machinery.
Manufacturing sector currently comprises 17% of the nation’s GDP and over 27.3 million workers.

  • Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, launched two significant initiatives, State and Union Territory Microsites under the e-Shram initiative and the Occupational Shortage Index (OSI).
