VisionNxt

  • India’s 1st Artificial and Emotional Intelligence fashion forecasting platform, VisionNxt, developed under the Ministry of Textiles, has been launched at National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Hyderabad.

Legal Metrology (General) Rules, 2011

  • The Legal Metrology Division of the Department of Consumer Affairs has notified the Rules for Radar Equipment for the measurement of speed of vehicles under the Legal Metrology (General) Rules, 2011. These rules will come into force from 1st July 2025.

Measurement of Speed of Vehicles

 

Radar devices emit radio waves that bounce off moving vehicles, calculating speed based on the Doppler Effect.

India’s First human-operated underwater submersible

  • India is set to deploy the first human-operated underwater submersible as part of the Deep Ocean Mission, designed for a depth of up to 500 meters and plans to extend its reach to 6,000 meters by next year.
