Panchayat Se Parliament 2.0

  • Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla inaugurated “Panchayat Se Parliament 2.0” which seeks to give insight into the Constitution and parliamentary procedures to over 500 women representatives from Panchayati Raj institutions from across the country.

  • Article 96: The Speaker or the Deputy Speaker is allowed to preside when the resolution for his/her removal from office is under consideration.

Development projects worth over ₹12,200 crore in Delhi

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a 13-km section of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) between New Ashok Nagar, Delhi and Sahibabad, Uttar Pradesh, costing ₹4,600 crore.
  • He also launched development projects worth over ₹12,200 crore, including a 2.8-km stretch of the Delhi Metro Phase IV.

 

India's Metro became 3rd largest in the world with the inauguration of Delhi Metro's phase IV.

  • Union Steel Minister H.D Kumaraswamy launched the ‘PLI scheme 1.1’ for the steel industry at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
