New permanent campus of Indian Institute of Handloom Technology

  • Union Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh inaugurated the new permanent campus of Indian Institute of Handloom Technology at Phulia, Nadia, West Bengal.
Government of India has established 06 technical institutes named “Indian Institute of Handloom Technology” at handloom centric locations such as Salem, Varanasi, Guwahati, Jodhpur, Bargarh and Phulia.

Dozer Push Mining Method

  • CSIR-CIMFR has successfully conducted India's first test blast using the dozer push mining method integrated with advanced digital technologies at the PEKB coal mine in Udaipur Block, Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh.
According to WorldAtlas.com, SECL's Gevra and Kusmunda coal mines in Chhattisgarh are ranked second and fourth respectively among the 10 largest coal mines in the world.

Working group for base revision of WPI
