About Lala Lajpat Rai

 

 

  • He was one of the three members of the Lal Bal Pal trio.
  • President of the Indian National Congress in the Calcutta Special Session of 1920.
  • Popularly known as Punjab Kesari
  • 30 October 1928, Lajpat Rai led a nonviolent march in protest against the Simon Commission.
  • Died on 17 November, 1928 due to lathi (baton) charge on protesters.
