4th Global High-Level Ministerial Conference on AMR

  • The Fourth Global High-Level Ministerial Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Under the theme From Declaration to Implementation – Accelerating Actions Through Multi Sectoral Partnerships for the Containment of AMR.
  • Conference adopted "Jeddah Commitments", a comprehensive framework for global action to combat AMR through a One Health approach.

It is a global public health problem that occurs when microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites no longer respond to antimicrobial medicines.

About Lala Lajpat Rai

 

 

  • He was one of the three members of the Lal Bal Pal trio.
  • President of the Indian National Congress in the Calcutta Special Session of 1920.
  • Popularly known as Punjab Kesari
  • 30 October 1928, Lajpat Rai led a nonviolent march in protest against the Simon Commission.
  • Died on 17 November, 1928 due to lathi (baton) charge on protesters.
