What is WPI?

Wholesale Price Index (WPI) represents the price of goods at a wholesale stage i.e. goods that are sold in bulk and traded between organisations instead of consumers.

Operation Dronagiri

  • Professor Abhay Karandikar, Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, launched Operation Dronagiri, a pilot project under the National Geospatial Policy 2022, to showcase geospatial technologies' impact on quality of life and ease of doing business, at the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi.
In the first phase, Operation Dronagiri will be implemented in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Assam, Andhra Pradesh & Maharashtra.
