Scheme for Strengthening the Medical Device Industry
- Union Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers and Health & Family Welfare, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, launched the Scheme for Strengthening the Medical Device Industry with an total outlay of 500 Crores.
- This Scheme will boost Medical device industry in Country as from diagnostic machines to surgical instruments, and from stents to prosthetics, medical devices are critical for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
World's first CO2 capture and CO2 to methanol conversion plan
- NTPC, India's largest power producer, inaugurated the world's first CO2 capture and CO2 to methanol conversion plant at its Vindhyachal plant on its 50th foundation day.
- It has also developed and tested the 'first Indigenous catalyst' for methanol synthesis.

Agreement on SCLCIA
- The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the premier Telecom R&D centre of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India has signed an agreement with the C R Rao AIMSCS for the development of " Side Channel Leakage Capture Infrastructure and Analysis (SCLCIA) Solution ".
- C. R. Rao Advanced Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science (AIMSCS) is the first of its kind in the country which is solely focussed on advanced research and applications in the areas of cryptography and information security.
