21st Livestock Census Operation

  • Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh launched the 21st Livestock Census Operation in New Delhi. The Census will be conducted till February next year.

Species covered under survey

Cattle, buffalo, mithuns, yaks, sheep, goats, pigs, cattle, horses, mules, donkeys, dogs, rabbits,  and elephants. A headcount of poultry birds will also be taken.

MoU between GeM and Sikkim

  • The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sikkim government to boost GeM adoption, achieving full coverage across all states and UTs.

6 Air Cushion Vehicles of ICG

  • The Ministry of Defence signed a contract for the procurement of six Air Cushion Vehicles for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) at a total cost of 387.44 crore rupees.
  • These amphibious vessels, also called ‘hovercrafts,’ will be procured under the Buy Indian category.

31st Edition of SIMBEX
