- Amnesty International on 2 October awarded the title of 'Prisoner of Conscience' to three human rights activists from mainland China and Hong Kong - Chow Hang-tung, Ding Jiaxi and Jimmy Lai.
- A prisoner of conscience (POC) is someone who is imprisoned or persecuted for their non-violent beliefs, such as their political, religious, or other conscientiously held beliefs.

- Adani Group, in cooperation with France's TotalEnergies, started India's biggest hydrogen blending in natural gas programme in Ahmedabad.
| In this process Hydrogen produced through clean methods is injected into natural gas pipelines. The percentage of green hydrogen in the blend will gradually increase from 2.2–2.3% to 5% and eventually to 8%. |
