Context
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi said during 'Mann Ki Baat' on September 29, 2024 that the increase in foreign direct investment (FDI) reflects the success of the Make in India campaign.
- This program has completed a decade.
Make in India Program
- Make in India is an ambitious campaign launched by the Government of India with the aim of making India a global manufacturing hub. Under this campaign, several steps are being taken to promote the manufacturing sector in India.
- Launch: This initiative was launched on September 25, 2014.
Key objectives:
- Attracting investment in manufacturing sector: To encourage foreign and domestic investors to invest in India.
- Employment generation: To solve the problem of unemployment by increasing employment opportunities in the manufacturing sector.
- Promoting exports: To reduce the trade deficit by increasing the export of products manufactured in India.

Mann Ki Baat
- Mann Ki Baat is a monthly radio program started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Through this program, the Prime Minister communicates directly with the countrymen.
