  • Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated the second Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) in Gautam Buddha Nagar, the event will showcase Uttar Pradesh's trade and culture, with Vietnam as the partner country.
  • The first Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) was held from September 21–25, 2023 at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida.

9th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of AIIB

  • Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has embarked on a visit to Uzbekistan to attend the 9th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Samarkand on 25th and 26th September. She will also sign the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) between India and Uzbekistan.

  • The Supreme Court held that viewing in private, downloading, storing, possessing, distributing or displaying pornographic acts involving children attract criminal liability under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and the Information Technology Act.
  • A three-judge Bench headed by Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud said the sexual act was only the beginning of a child’s victimisation.
