Kiren Rijiju inaugurated six initiatives

  • Union Minister Kiren Rijiju inaugurated six initiatives in New Delhi, including NeVA 2.0, Subordinate Legislation Management System, Consultative Committee Management System, National Youth Parliament Scheme 2.0, and Eklavya Model Residential Schools.

India and UAE Business Outcomes

  • India and UAE have agreed on two key business outcomes. They will launch the India-UAE Virtual Trade Corridor (VTC) and the MAITRI interface to facilitate it, as part of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) framework.
  • Second MoU was signed between International Resources Holding RSC LTD and a consortium of Oil India Ltd, Khanij Bidesh India Ltd, and ONGC India Ltd for global collaboration in the Critical Mineral Supply Chain, enhancing exploration and supply chain resilience of critical minerals.

Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojna

  • Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh has launched the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojna in New Delhi. He has also released the SOP on Fisheries Production and Processing Clusters, while highlighting key national projects under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana for 2024-25.

 1st Meeting of ANRF

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the first Governing Board meeting of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) in New Delhi, emphasising local solutions to global problems.
  • The government will launch the Partnerships for Accelerated Innovation and Research (PAIR) programme to enhance research capabilities in higher education institutions (HEIs).
  • ANRF is set to launch the Mission for Advancement in High-impact Areas (MAHA) to focus on critical areas of research.

Gujarat State Institution for Transformation

  • The Gujarat government has established the Gujarat State Institution for Transformation (GRIT) under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's chairmanship, acting as a policy think tank similar to NITI Ayog.
  • The Chief Minister will chair the Governing Body, with the Finance Minister as Vice-Chairman and Ministers of Agriculture, Health, Education, and Industries as members. A 10-member executive committee will manage GRIT's day-to-day operations.

India’s first green hydrogen valley project in Pune

  • Gensol Engineering, in partnership with Matrix Gas & Renewables Ltd, has secured an order to set up India’s first green hydrogen valley project in Pune. The plant will generate green hydrogen via electrolysis and supply it to the specialty chemical sector.
