6 month treatment for MDR-TB
- The Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has approved the introduction of the BPaLM regimen, a novel six-month treatment for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), under the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP). This four-drug combination of Bedaquiline, Pretomanid, Linezolid, and Moxifloxacin offers improved success rates and fewer side effects, replacing the traditional 20-month treatment.
