CHHAAP

 

  • The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles, is hosting CHHAAP from September 2nd to 15th, 2024, at Dilli Haat INA, New Delhi.
  • The event, titled "Chhaap- Impressions of an indelible stamp of India’s handloom and craft traditions" showcased the NIFT Craft Cluster Initiative, featuring collaborations between NIFT students, alumni, and artisans, and highlights the institute's commitment to Indian craftsmanship.

23rd Law Commission

Major Projects approved by Cabinet

 

  • 309 Kilometre long new line project providing the shortest rail connectivity between Mumbai and Indore at a total cost of 18,036 crores. The project will be completed by 2028-29.
  • Approved the proposal for the procurement of 240 aero-engines for the Su-30 MKI aircraft of the Indian Air Force.
  • Proposal of Kaynes Semicon Pvt Ltd to set up a semiconductor unit in Sanand, Gujarat. 
  • 7 schemes to improve farmers’ lives and increase their incomes at a total outlay of Rs 13,966 Crore.

          1. Digital Agriculture Mission with a total cost of 2817 crore rupees.

          2. Crop science for food and nutritional security: with a total outlay of Rs 3,979 crore.

          3.Strengthening Agricultural Education, Management and Social Sciences: with a total outlay of Rs 2,291 Crore.

         4. Sustainable livestock health and production: with a total outlay of Rs 1,702 crore.

         5. Sustainable development of Horticulture: with a total outlay of Rs 860 crore.

         6. Strengthening of Krishi Vigyan Kendra with an outlay of Rs 1,202 Cr.

         7. Natural Resource Management with an outlay of Rs 1,115 Cr.
