- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the National Conference of District Judiciary at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
Vande Bharat trains
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off three Vande Bharat trains Meerut-Lucknow, Madurai-Bengaluru, and Chennai-Nagercoil routes.
PM’s Visit to Brunei and Singapore
- According to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to Brunei and Singapore from September 3, 2024.

Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) Secretariat
- India, Maldives, Mauritius and Sri Lanka have signed the Charter and an MoU for the establishment of the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) Secretariat in Colombo to address security and stability challenges in the Indian Ocean Region.

India and Saudi Arabia signed MoU
- To enhance bilateral cooperation in public sector auditing, India and Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Riyadh.
- The agreement was signed by Shri Girish Chandra Murmu, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, and Dr. Hussam Al-Angari, President of the Saudi General Court of Audit.

6.7% Real GDP Growth
- The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) released data for India’s GDP estimates which is signalling a moderation in the economy's growth momentum.
- India's real GDP rose 6.7% in the April to June 2024 quarter, the slowest in five quarters, and below the Reserve Bank of India's expectation of a 7.1% uptick as well as the 7.8% uptick registered in the preceding quarter.

Navratana status to RailTel, NHPC, SJVN, and SECI
- Department of Public Enterprise under Ministry of Finance granted 'Navratana' status to public sector undertakings RailTel Corporation of India (RCIL), National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC), Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
- This status allows the organisations to undertake substantial investments of up to ₹1,000 crore without needing approval from the Centre.

Nutrition Tracker app

'Aravalli' helicopter engines
- Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and SAFHAL Helicopter Engines Pvt. Ltd. have signed a contract for the joint design, development, and production of high-power helicopter engines named 'Aravalli'.

World U20 Athletics Championships
- In the World U20 Athletics Championships, Aarti won a Bronze medal in the Women’s 10000m race walk event with the National U20 record time to open India’s medal account at Lima in Peru.

- Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal won the gold and bronze respectively in the women’s 10m Air Rifle competition.
