Tiranga Rally

 

  • Union Coal, Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy has launched the Tiranga Rally in Hyderabad and announced the commencement of the Independence Day celebrations.

UPSIDA

 

  • THE UTTAR Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) approved the Trans Ganga Hitech City infrastructure project and Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation has been appointed as the nodal agency for this project.
  • Construction of a new four-lane bridge over the Ganga that will span approximately 1.8 km, connecting Kanpur to Trans Ganga City, has been approved.

Uttar Pradesh International Trade Exhibition

 

  • Uttar Pradesh will organise the second edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Exhibition from September 25 to 29 at the India Exhibition Mart in Greater Noida.

8 Didis from UP at Red Fort on 15th August

 

  • The Government of India has invited three Lakhpati didis and five drone didis of Uttar Pradesh to the program to be held at Red Fort in Delhi on 15th August.

  • Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to target a rise in the gross enrolment ratio (GER) from currently 25% to over 50% in 10 years.

Nitrogen Use Efficiency in Rice Varieties

 

  • Biotechnologists at New Delhi-based Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGU) have discovered wide variation in nitrogen use efficiency among popular rice varieties in India.
  • This knowledge can be used to develop newer varieties that use less nitrogen and are high yielding.
