Species of bent-toed geckos

• Scientists from India and the United Kingdom have discovered six new species of bent-toed geckos from Northeast India,  two species from Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland each. The remaining two species are from Manipur and Mizoram each.

• Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution & New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi launched the Version 4.0 Price Monitoring System (PMS) Mobile App and included 16 additional commodities under Price Monitoring from 1st August, 2024.
• Now, the price of a total 38 commodities will be monitored.
