1.16 Million Dollars for promotion of Hindi

  • India has made a contribution of 1.16 million dollars to the United Nations for the promotion of Hindi.
  • United Nations produces an audio Hindi news bulletin every week on matters relating to the world organisation.

MSME TEAM

  • Union Minister for MSME, Jitan Ram Manjhi launched scheme ‘MSME TEAM’ in New Delhi. 
  • The scheme aims to facilitate five lakh micro and small enterprises for Open Network for Digital Commerce.

Freedom Edge: Trilateral Multi-Domain Exercise

  • South Korea, the US and Japan began their first trilateral multi-domain exercise, Freedom Edge. 
  • The exercise will focus on ballistic missile defence, air defence, antisubmarine warfare, search and rescue, maritime interdiction and defensive cyber training.

  • Indian track athlete Kiran Pahal has qualified for the Paris Olympics in the Women’s 400m event. 
  • She became the second fastest Indian runner in the women’s 400m after Hima Das.

Vishwa Hindi Samman

  • Dr Usha Thakur was awarded 12th Vishwa Hindi Samman recognising her contribution in development of Hindi literature. 
  • This award is given by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

  • World MSME Day is celebrated on June 27th every year. 
  • The theme for MSME Day 2024 is “Leveraging Power and Resilience of Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) to Accelerate Sustainable Development and Eradicate Poverty in Times of Multiple Crises.”

Electrical Safety handbook for Students

  • Central Electricity Authority (CEA) organized an All-India Electrical Safety awareness programme. 
  • The handbook titled “Electrical Safety handbook for Students” was launched in the event.

Sangyaan App

  • Director General of Railway Protection Force Manoj Yadava launched the mobile application-Sangyaan App to provide in-depth information on three new Criminal Acts: the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam 2023.
