Global Gender Gap Index
- India has slipped two places on the Global Gender Gap index to 129th place, while Iceland retained its top spot.
- Within South Asia, India ranked fifth after Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan, with Pakistan ranked last.

G7 Summit
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a visit to Apulia, Italy to participate in the G7 Summit.
- G7 Group was established as a platform for economic and financial cooperation in response to the 1973 energy crisis.

Humanitarian Assistance to Papua New Guinea
