- World Crafts Council International (WCCI) has picked Srinagar for mapping its craft clusters before its final nomination as the World Craft City (WCC) from India this year.
- WCCI is a Kuwait-based organisation working on recognition and preservation of traditional crafts.

Indigenous Technology Cruise Missile
- Defence Research and Development Organisation achieved a significant milestone with the successful flight-test of an Indigenous Technology Cruise Missile (ITCM) off the coast of Odisha.
- The missile has been developed by the Bengaluru-based DRDO laboratory Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE).

AFMS & IIT Kanpur signs MoU
- Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for collaborative research and training with Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.

Aryabhata
- On April 19, 1975, India’s first satellite ‘Aryabhata’ was launched into space.
