Strawberry Festival

• Strawberry Festival will be celebrated in Meghalaya from April 5 to 13.
• The festival will be organized near strawberry fields in Sintung and Nohron in East Khasi Hills district, Umkatih and Sohlia in Rebhoi district, Baladinggre, Darechikgre, Durkantragre villages in West Garo Hills district.

8 Billion Dollar Package of Aid for Egypt

• European Union announced a 8-billion dollar aid package for cash-strapped Egypt.
• The deal was signed in Cairo by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

• Vladimir Putin has won Russian Presidential Elections for record fifth term.

• Harkrishan Wadia (co-driver Kunal Kashyap) of Arka Motorsports emerged champion in the 47th MMSC South India Rally.

Paris Olympics qualification mark

• Asian Games bronze medallist athlete Gulveer Singh shattered the 16-year-old National record in the men’s 10,000m to finish second in his heat at The Ten in San Juan Capistrano in California. However, Gulveer’s effort was not enough for Olympic qualification.
• The other Indian in the heat, Kartik Kumar, finished ninth in the race.

• Ramkumar Ramanathan cruised past Karan Singh 6-2, 6-2 in the final of the $25,000 ITF men’s tennis tournament.

• India's Rethin Pranav and Indonesia's Jaden Dewandaka Tan defeated Australia's Daniel Javanovski and Brendan Loh in the doubles final of the J100 ITF juniors Grade 3 tennis tournament in Australia.
