UNNATI – 2024

• Union Cabinet chaired by PM Narendra Modi approved the proposal of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade for Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialization Scheme, 2024 (UNNATI – 2024) for a period of 10 years from the date of notification along with 8 years for committed liabilities at a total cost of Rs.10,037 crore.

IndiaAI Mission

• Cabinet approved ambitious IndiaAI Mission to strengthen the AI Innovation Ecosystem. The Mission will be implemented by ‘IndiaAI’ Independent Business Division under Digital India Corporation.

Sweden has officially become the member of NATO

• Sweden has officially become the 32nd member of NATO after it completed the accession process in Washington.

International Solar Alliance

• Panama has become the 97th member to ratify the International Solar Alliance.

Chalo India-Global Diaspora Campaign

• Members of the Indian community in Dhaka joined the launching of the "Chalo India-Global Diaspora Campaign" at the High Commission of India in Bangladesh.

RBI, Bank Indonesia sign MoU

• Reserve Bank of India and the Bank Indonesia signed an MoU for establishing a framework to promote the use of local currencies viz. the Indian Rupee (INR) and the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) for cross-border transactions.

Sea Defenders-2024

• US Coast Guard Ship Bertholf visited Port Blair for the joint exercise “Sea Defenders-2024” with Indian Coast Guard.
• The joint exercise is scheduled to take place off the coast of Port Blair.
