• India has become the Chair of International Sugar Organisation (ISO) for 2024 to lead global sugar sector.
• India has been the largest consumer and second largest producer of sugar in the world.

India-EU 

• India and the European Union have signed an MoU to deepen cooperation on the semiconductor ecosystem and enhance resilience in the semiconductor supply chain.
• The MoU was signed by Electronics, Information and Technology and Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and European Commissioner for Internal Markets Thierry Breton.
