Agreement on Letter of Intent between India and France -

Context-
- Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India and Ministry of Public Sector Transformation and Civil Service of the French Republic have signed a Letter of Intent for cooperation in the field of Public Administration and Administrative Reforms for three years.
Main Point -
- The objective of this agreement is to strengthen the bilateral partnership between the two countries.
- The roadmap for this bilateral cooperation will be prepared by a joint working group to be established under the auspices of the Letter of Intent.
- Both sides agreed to strengthen relations through high-level exchanges in the coming months.
- India's next generation administrative reforms include recognition of merit under the Prime Minister's Award Scheme for Excellence in Public Administration, benchmarking of governance through Good Governance Index, improvement in quality of e-services through National e-Service Delivery Assessment and timely CPGRAMS involves adoption of technology with a focus on quality grievance redressal.
- The French side expressed interest in exchanging information related to effective public grievance redressal, secretariat reforms adopted for digital transformation of the Central Secretariat and dissemination of award-winning good governance practices.
